Presented annually, the Karl Radde Award is made to an outstanding Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) athlete that has demonstrated the ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and service and is an ambassador for the Olympic sport of archery. The emphasis for this award is the archer’s service to the community, including archery club, school, etc. Service activity that in some manner promotes, highlights, or serves the sport of archery is well regarded.
Any adult member of the State Archers of California, the state National Archery Association affiliate, may nominate an active JOAD athlete for the award. Upon receipt of completed nomination forms, the State Archers of California board of directors select the athlete deemed deserving of the award and recognition.

- The Karl Radde Certificate of Excellence
- Recognition on the SAC Web Site
- Paid entry to the following year California State Outdoor Championship
