Cal Archery is happy to announce that our Golden Bear Open tournament is returning this fall on November 2nd, 2025! We are very excited to announce a collaboration with The Mountain Archery Range for this year’s GBO, located at 13592 Lake Chabot Rd, San Leandro, CA.

The tournament will consist of two scoring rounds at 18 meters (60 arrows) in the morning and elimination rounds in the afternoon. Check-in starts at 8:30 AM with practice ends starting at 9:00 AM, and eliminations will start at approximately 12:30 PM after a lunch break.

Registration fee is $45 online and $50 on-site (CASH ONLY), and there is no additional cost for participation in the elimination rounds. Archers are expected to bring their own equipment and seating, and target assignments and final details will be sent in an update email to participants on Saturday, November 1st.

The Mountain has an online liability form; please fill it out at the time of your registration. It is also linked in the registration form for your convenience! For participants who are minors, a parent/guardian must sign the waiver.

For those of you who are shop owners or managers, JOAD coaches, or in positions of club management, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share our flyer with your shooters! This event would be great practice for those going to National Indoor as well as gaining general competitive experience.

The registration form for the event is here. Spots are limited, so we encourage you to sign up as early as possible!

Excited to see you all soon, and thank you for supporting Cal Archery!
